CMKBD, RID, CAPS
Peggy, the founder of Kitchen & Bath Concepts, has specialized in consultation and design of new and remodeled kitchens and baths since 1986.
Peggy is an award-winning Certified Master Kitchen and Bath Designer and has been well recognized and celebrated by her peers in the industry. She is a past national president of the National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA) and the Texas Gulf Coast Chapter of ASID.
Peggy has been featured in numerous local and national publications and media outlets such as HGTV, Houston House & Home, Texas Culinary Thymes, Interior Design, House Beautiful, Better Homes & Gardens, Women’s Day Kitchens & Baths, Kitchen & Bath Business, Kitchen & Bath Design News, Who’s Who in Kitchens & Baths, and a special feature project for Country Living Magazine for Wood-Mode Cabinetry.
She is a frequent speaker at local and national home shows and conferences and has judged design competitions for the NKBA, NARI, SubZero and others. Over her years in the industry, she has served on advisory councils for manufacturers such as Dacor, KitchenAid, SubZero, Wood-Mode, and others.

Partner, CMKBD, RID, CAPS
Micqui has been in the kitchen and bath industry for over 25 years. She is a graduate of the University of Texas with a degree in interior design, a registered interior designer in Texas, and a Certified Master Kitchen and Bath Designer.
Ms. McGowen has been published in Houston House and Home magazine, Kitchen and Bath Business magazine, and Woman’s Day Kitchens and Baths. Micqui received honorable mentions in multiple NKBA Kitchen Design Competitions and has served on a Sub-Zero advisory committee for new product design and development.
Residential kitchen and bath design are Micqui’s main focus. However, other projects include cabinetry design for corporate office kitchens, dental clinics, national exhibits for widely distributed Texas cabinet manufacturers, and design work for several appliance and cabinet showrooms.
Micqui has served locally on the National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA) Texas Gulf Coast Chapter Board of Directors and was elected to the National Board of Directors of NKBA in 2003.

Senior Designer, Allied ASID
Melissa has a degree in Interior Design with a background in Residential Design, working under licensed Interior Designers for several years, before coming to Kitchen & Bath Concepts. She is an individual member of NKBA and is an Allied Member of ASID. She has served in several positions on the local board for the NKBA, as well as serving on a committee for ASID, both for their respective Texas Gulf Coast Chapters. Since coming to KBC, she has worked her way up from a Design Assistant to the owners, to a Senior Kitchen & Bath Designer, leading her own team.
Since coming to KBC, she has won several local awards, as well as a few national awards. Melissa singularly won a local 2018 ASID Ruby Award, “Best Emerging Professional in Residential,” for her Kitchen and Bathroom designs. This project also won Runner-Up Regionally, at the 2018 Wood-Mode 75th Anniversary Awards for “Best Bathroom”. She Received a local 2018 ASID Ruby Award and 2018 Regional Winner and National Finalist Wood-Mode 75th Anniversary Award for “Best Kitchen,” in conjunction with Owner Micqui McGowen, playing an integral team contributor role in these wins as well as several other Industry Awards for the “Team.” In 2019, she also singularly won a local ASID Ruby Award for “Best of Residential Design” for a Kitchen she designed. (In 2020, there were no award ceremonies held, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.) In 2021, she won another local ASID Ruby Award in the “Designer/Industry Partner Collaboration” category, for a kitchen she co-designed with a local Interior Designer, Melissa/KBC acting as the Industry Partner.

Technical Designer
Hugh joined KBC in early 2018 as a Technical Designer after almost five years’ experience working for a European cabinet manufacturer. He received a BA in Interior Architecture from The Art Institute in Houston in 2015. Hugh brings to KBC his technical talent and expertise in producing detailed drawings and specifications for luxury kitchen and bath projects, managing order processing and some project management. With his attention to detail and passion for client satisfaction, Hugh is an integral part of KBC’s Team.
Designer at Bryan-College Station, TX
Doris represents KBC in the Bryan-College Station area. Doris has worked in kitchen and interior design since 1984. She began her career in Munich, Germany, where she worked for over 20 years for several design studios. She was manager at SieMatic, Poggenpol, and other kitchen studios throughout Germany. Doris has also given several industry seminars, a favorite being the IMM/Cologne presentation of the first computer screen used in the kitchen mounted under an upper cabinet.
Doris also spent time in Dubai, where she designed over 1,000 kitchens for residential and commercial properties. She was instrumental in the opening of the first SieMatic showroom in Dubai and trained local staff to understand the SieMatic concept. Her portfolio also includes many villas on the famous Palm Islands. She has freelanced for design firms in San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Seattle. She now extends her expertise to clients in the Bryan-College Station area.

CKD, CBD at Austin, TX
Ines represents KBC in the Austin and Hill Country areas. She is originally from Venezuela where she graduated with a degree in architecture. She has worked in the kitchen and bath industry for more than 20 years. She is a member of NKBA and holds certifications for CKD and CBD. Her broad experience includes new construction and remodeling projects in traditional and contemporary styles. Every project poses challenges, and finding the best solution for the client is her mission.

ASP, ABR, GRI, Designer at Clearlake, TX
Caroline represents KBC in the Clear Lake area. After studying three years in Graphic Design and later graduating with an Associate’s Degree in Drafting Technology, Caroline pursued her passion for design never straying from it, joining Kitchen & Bath Concepts as a Designer now specializing in the Clear Lake area. Caroline is an NKBA member with 35 years combined experience in multiple areas of construction with a wide range of experience in both residential and commercial: kitchen and bath design, architectural design, REALTOR, stager, project manager, custom cabinetry and interior design, just to name a few. Caroline’s positive attitude, communication skills, construction knowledge, and design ability assures the finished product will be aesthetic, appealing, possess surprising detail, creativity and of course, functionality.
